chronic congestion of lung with venulosclerosis ICD-10: J81
weitere Informationen auf HiPaKu
Frau, 71 J., Mitralstenose nach rheumatischer Endokarditis. Autopsiepräparat
- Analog Präparat A II 9
- Zusätzlich Sklerose von Venulen (Venulosklerose):
Homogene eosinophile Gefässwand, Lumeneinengung
- Herdförmige Fibrose der
Interalveolarsepten
Makroskopie:
Braune Lungeninduration
71-year-old female suffered from a stenosis of the mitral valve due to rheumatic
fever (specimen from autopsy).
- Analog to A II 9
- The architecture of the lung tissue is maintained. The capillaries are engorged with blood. Hemosiderin-laden macrophages
are present in alveolar spaces. Part of the alveolar septae show distinct fibrosis (Fibrose).
- Venules display narrowing of lumens and a homogenous eosinophilic appearance of the wall
(Venulosklerose, venulosclerosis).
Macroscopic findings:
The lung tissue is firm and of brownish color due to deposits of hemosiderin-laden macrophages in alveolar spaces.
The macroscopic findings associated with chronic congestion are thus also referred to as ‘brown induration’.
